About
Qi Han (韩琪), originally from China, is a passionate representational painter who merges traditional techniques with contemporary insights. Her early artistic journey was shaped by the intricate art of Chinese brush painting. This foundation, coupled with her academic pursuits—a Master’s degree in Culture Management from Université Paris 8 and an MBA from IAE Paris, Sorbonne Business School—fostered a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and artistic expression.
During her 5-year stay in Paris, Qi immersed herself in the vibrant cultural scene, exploring museums, independent cinemas, and various cultural events that expanded her artistic horizons. Her professional career began in PR and advertising, where she spent 10 years as a creative in China and France. However, her passion for visual storytelling truly flourished after she relocated to the United States.
In the San Francisco Bay Area, Qi Han transitioned into the world of fine art, where she found her true calling. As a full-time artist, she now works primarily in oil and watercolor, drawing inspiration from the diverse natural landscapes and cultural richness of her surroundings. Her work is deeply inspired by the play of light, and she strives to capture its luminosity on paper and canvas, bringing a unique glow to her paintings.
Qi never stops learning and refining her craft thought online education and in-person workshops. Her current body of work includes still life, portraiture, wildlife, and plein air paintings, each reflecting her commitment to capturing the beauty of light and form.
She’s a member of the Artist Guild of San Francisco, where like-minded artists show work regularly in SF public parks, making her art accessible to all. Qi Han also dedicates time to creating commissioned pieces, working closely with clients to bring their visions to life through her unique artistic lens. Her work, whether personal or commissioned, is designed to evoke joy and beauty in everyday life.
